A boy sits on his doorstep, looking up at the sky Watching the cloud formations, dreaming about his life. He’s too young to see the world around him, he’s unable to conceive The challenges and realities that the world unfolds before him The future looks very grim, it all depends what state you’re in, What position in life you manage to uphold. The poor, the old, the neglected, just haven’t got a chance, The outcasts of society tucked away. The boy is now a man and now he understands The pains and pleasures of life. He cannot support a family, he can barely live alone, His life is rotting away. The divisions cannot be changed, the pattern has been set, The lowly and the wretched are left to die. People live in fantasies, the illusion is a disease, Contagious to every human being Contagious to every human being Contagious to every human being.
3.
Born with no compassion, filled with lustful hate, He lives for his own interests, the underprivileged wait. Indifferent feelings destroy and rot inside Until there’s nothing but dust… Nothing but dust Greed thrives on evil, evil thrives on greed. People are left dying without their proper needs. What’s the use in fighting, there’s no relief in sight. You can’t give up The good must put up a fight.
4.
Every kid dreams about becoming a war hero, The glory of being honored, the celebration and the show. The fame and the glory is a façade that is used, To detract and lure the stray away from the truth. Do the kids realize that it’s the hero that dies and the fame comes afterwards?! Who’s to blame when their life’s not the same, there’s someone who surely knows! Little kids play war games with imaginary guns, There isn’t any bloodshed, the realism is gone. Expand that to a larger scale where friends next to them die, The sight of mangled bodies being eaten by the flies. The people don’t gain from political wars, it just destroys their lives, Families are gone and the pain is prolonged, the profits don’t apply. Some kids will wise up, others with learn the hard way, The smart ones will defend their lives while others go astray. Human life is a gift not to be destroyed, The horrors of war destroy this gift which can never be replaced. Isn’t it fun to murder someone for reasons that don’t exist, I’d only fight for my valuable right of freedom, and that it is it! For freedom and that is it!
5.
The truth unfolds, light shines in your eyes. The power grasps you from the heart and you realize, The pain you feel denotes which side you choose. The stray, the blind will follow those who will lose their soul. Within our mind, within our heart the evil thrives, Buried deep within the realm of blackened lies. Where do I turn? Condemnation holds The key to life after we grow old…no hope. Hope….. It’s your life, you do what feels right, Guard your soul from the flames and the light…fight.
6.
A young child looks forward to growing up, He’s influenced by the things around him. Grasping in his mind all that he sees, Believing the violence he’s exposed to is good. The government knows how to program children, By manipulating sight and sound. TV screens and videos are masters, Programmed to destroy the mind War is good, violence is fine, it’s getting to a point, Where a murder can take place without an effect on the mind. What is the truth? We have a right to know what’s going on. Deception is wrong, deceiving the mind should be against the law!
7.
Instrumental song.
8.
Decrepit minds depending on one another, Leeching hearts feeding off each other. Using, deceiving, thriving on lies, The quiet, unnoticed are the ones who survive. Decay and anguish have now reached their minds, Dependency’s severed, they all rot and die. The wretched lay wasted, along the gutters they lie. They all have been sentenced to pay for their unjustly crime. The lives they destroyed are the lives who have gained, Condemned by their crime they all live in vain. Society’s plucked them from under Ma’s wing, Justice prevails, the earth’s been wiped clean. The process still functions, the sequence repeats every time. Pain is tremendous, the wise ones encourage the crime. Hate and mistrust are what they rely, There’s no room for love, there’s no need to cry. The end is now here, the judgement remains, Condemned by their fate, the quiet now reign.

about

Post progressive pop at its best. Both moody and edgy, Resurrection Of Black is an album of awareness...definitely relative to the state of the world today.
